Reykjavik is located in southwestern Iceland. It is the capital and largest city of Iceland (although the population is only just over 100,000 people). Reykjavik is well known as the commercial, industrial, and cultural center of the island.
Icelandic is the official language of Iceland. Icelandic is an insular language, and as such, has not been influenced greatly by other languages. Most people you will meet also speak very good English.
