United StatesOur reservation got canceled twice by the drivers but Tours by Local found a third person to drive us to Pompeii and the Almafi coast. We enjoyed the trip and our host and driver were very accommodating and very nice. Our host even arranged a tour guide for Pompeii who did an excellent job.

United StatesOriginally scheduled this tour w/ Caron. but were reassigned to Pamela L. Pamela was very unsociable and hardly talked to us the whole trip. She never explained in-depth the country or the sites we were seeing. She would answer questions but never initiated any conversation. Based on my past experiences with Tours by Locals I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this tour with Pamela. Plus on the day of travel, it was in the 90's and the van we traveled in never cooled off in the back where we were.

United StatesSeeing Pompeii was the number one place my teenage daughter wanted to visit while on vacation, and it did not disappoint. We also had a wonderful lunch in Sorrento. It was fun to walk the streets and do some shopping to end our tour before driving back. Kudos to Mauro for being an excellent driver. The weather was awful but he was a very patient driver, and Pamela did another outstanding job as our guide. Be sure to try the creamy limoncello while in Sorrento. It is amazing!!

United StatesVisiting Orvieto was the highlight of our vacation. We were hesitant about scheduling any type of tour on Christmas Day, but I am so glad we decided to book this tour with Pamela. My family and I LOVED Orvieto! Even though the weather wasn't great, we didn't care. We loved walking through the quaint town and strolling down the streets. The restaurant we had lunch in was amazing! Visiting St. Patrick's Well and the Duomo is a MUST DO. My family and I would come back here in a heartbeat!

It was a great way to sample different types of Italian cuisine and have a local share the best places to get each item. It was a great way to start our vacation especially since it was the first time in Rome for the two teenage girls in our family. Rome has so many incredible sites to see, and Pamela and the driver, Marco, did a wonderful job guiding us to each destination. A definite tour to book if it's your first time in Rome. United StatesMy pre-trip communication with Pamela was very good. There were no issues on first transfer to the City Center. On the second trip, a hotel transfer, I had requested more than 2 weeks in advance for a pick up time change from 12:00pm to 2:30 pm, and confirmed this with Pamela. That day I received a very threatening phone call at 1:30 pm from her boss stating that a driver was waiting for me since 12:00 pm and where was I? Happy with our driver, Mauro - not happy with internal communications.

United StatesWe had such spectacular day driving from Rome to the Amalfi coast with Pamela with her driver Marco. Marco did a superb job of driving all that way. Italy's landscape is so stunning with the beautiful trees and rolling hills with mountains in the background. But the drive along the Amalfi Coast is magnificent. The town of Sorrento with all its shops open and the town decorating for Christmas was very lovely. Pamela took us for a wonderful lunch at Sorrentino's Winery. Another great tour with Pamela!

United StatesWe walked right in with our VIP passes to the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel that Pamela arranged for us and thank goodness we had them. It was pouring rain and the line of people went on forever. Pamela walked us around the inside of the Colosseum, had another great lunch at a local restaurant. Another amazing day of unbelievable sites, the beauty of the city and all that history you get to experience as Pamela guides you around making sure you miss nothing. We had a wonderful drive through the country side of Rome on our way to Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregi. Great places for pictures, told us about the Dying City. Pamela took us for a great Tuscany Lunch at a Winery while Marco watched over our luggage. We had such a specular day on our first day in Rome with Pamela. We felt so comfortable with our hosts it was like our Sister was touring us around Italy.

The Pompei guide was very informative and knowledgeable of the history of Pompei. After Pompei we continue to the Amalfi coast for that was a delightful drive followed by a lunch at a winery.

United StatesPam gave us an amazing 7 hour tour of Rome with driver Fabrizio at the wheel. We arranged this very last minute & she was so accommodating. We saw far more than we expected to and she was very great at pacing our large group of 8. She had fabulous lunch (and also dinner) suggestions and made the arrangements for us. Don't miss her gelato stop! We would definitely without question recommend Pam to others interested in the beautiful sights of Rome.

United StatesI must start with saying Pamela is fabulous!!!!! She is fun, kind and caring. She makes you feel like you have known her forever. My sister and I were traveling from Rome to the Amalfi Coast. We decided to make the journey an experience. And it was! The lemon farm and seeing homemade mozzarella made was wonderful. The lunch was perfect and a nice break on the trip to Positano. It was a travel day but felt way more fun and enjoyable!

CanadaPamela met our party of 6 at 8:00am for our top Eternal Rome tour. The day began with a short informative tour of the local sites while on route to an underground tour of the Colosseum. Pamela shared with us the SECRET key hole in Rome which was a nice surprise. We stopped for a nice lunch and then continued on to Vatican City. Roberta was our guide in the Vatican and she was excellent. Very passionate about her work. The day was wonderful and ran like clock work thanks to Pamela. She was wonderful
