Plus a traditional local Italian restaurant for lunch. This is a walking tour, but you can request transportation with extra cost. A taxi ride from lunch restaurant to Colosseum for about euro 20. Valerio is the best tour guide in Rome. The cost worths the one day stay in Roam for the first timer.

United StatesWho better to tour the Colosseum with other than an archeologist who participated in multiple "digs" in the vicinity? We had an amazing time with Val; his expertise and enthusiasm made our visit extremely enjoyable. I recommend booking this visit early enough in advance to enable entrance to the Catacombs; something we unfortunately did not do. I highly recommend the tour though.

United StatesVal is extremely energetic and knowledgeable of the various museums and contents of the Vatican. As soon as we met, he asked us if we had specific items of interest and ensured our route provided us an opportunity to see these items; without him, we would still be looking. If planning a trip, I recommend having one that is longer than 1/2 a day as the amount of time available to visit all the amazing history and art was not nearly enough.

Valerio was able to coordinate transportation for us which made the tour incredibly comfortable. We would use Valerio as a guide, in a heartbeat, when we return to Rome.

We loved experiencing things with an archeologist because Valerio was able to point things out we would not normally see. We did the Coliseum and Forum tour in the morning, which was very smart as we beat some of the heat, and toured the Vatican properties in the afternoon. Amazing! Rome was extremely hot but he planned our time on the Palentine Hill so that we could get maximum information without having to loiter in the heat. Looking over the Forum is defintely the best way to appreciate the vastness and also the impact of change over the centuries. Great detail avoiding the crowds in the Colosseum. We recommend him.
