We visited the fabulous Galleria Borghese five years ago, and on our recent trip to Rome decided to do so again, this time with an expert guide. Giampaolo made the visit so much more interesting, sharing his expert knowledge of the building, the history of how the art was acquired, and the paintings and sculpture. ( Any one of the Bernini sculptures alone is worth seeing!). He was personable and easy to understand - definitely recommended.

We chose this slightly less obvious tour and were treated to a very well researched and presented 3.5 hours by Giampaolo. His knowledge is wide and varied and is more than happy to share his thoughts on various subjects.

Best tour of an art gallery that I've ever had Giampaolo gave what is perhaps the most informed, interesting art tour that I have ever had, and I've had over ten personal tours by this company alone. He combined the relevant history of the museum and pieces, along with elucidating the salient artistic attributes of the many pieces that we surveyed in the museum during our time slot. I give my highest recommendation to Giampaolo!

This guide was very boring and monotonous to listen to. Became very difficult to finish the tour.

Giampaolo is a very knowledgeable guide and impressive with his insight into ancient Ostia! He is charming and a pleasure to spend time with as he took us back in time to experience the lives of ordinary Roman's in Ostia. We explored their homes, shops, offices, workshops, restaurants, places of worship, baths and even toilets. Standing behind the counter of an ancient food restaurant, looking at the frescoes on the walls! Walking though massive condominium housing projects just a few of the highlights!

Giampaolo was absolutely fantastic and very accommodating. His knowledge of the area and the Bible and life of Paul was the highlight of our five day trip to Rome. My 78 year old mother Inlaw was with us and she had trouble walking and he went out of his way to help us with that. He then helped us make our next appointment.

We would suggest not booking this tour on a Sunday or a special Catholic day of celebration. We waited for entrance to underground for quite a long time without anything to occupy our time while we waited.

The tour schedule is determined by the opening time of those churches and this might change without prior notice as happened for the special ceremony on White Sunday, despite I had checked this with the nuns 2 days before. As you remember other guides as well were delayed in their tours for this reason. I do appreciate your suggestion and I have already canceled this tour on Sundays.
