Beaufort, SC, United StatesI would give Rudolph 10 stars if I could. We toured Etruscan tombs, villages near his home, and ended in his back yard. We had lunch at a papal palace, where we had wine and delicious home made pasta at an incredibly reasonable price. His excitement for this area is contagious. He kept saying, "just one more stop". He limits the number of tours he does; we were so lucky to have him accept our request. If you have already been to Rome, this is a wonderful alternative.

He had picked out a perfect place for lunch and was so informative throughout the day. He delivered so much history and in such an interesting way. CanadaWe could not have been happier with the tour that Ruud provided us on our port stop in Civitavecchia. We toured several cities and towns in the hills outside Rome and then had a wonderful lunch as recommended by Ruud in Montefiascone. Ruud went out of his way to show us a good time and the sights that we wanted to see. It was like spending a day in the countryside with an old friend who was proud of the area in which he lived and knew the highlights to explore. Would highly recommend Ruud.

United States5 stars only because you only have 5 stars max Rudolph took our group of six persons on a tour on Sept 29 through many more sights than we ever planned and still managed to add the winery tour and tasting I had arranged. He did all this on a Sunday with all the closings issues. At the end of the tour, we stopped off at his home where he and his wife treated us to local wine and snacks...how very thoughtful!

PhilippinesOur guide Rudolph, brought us to the very intriguing burial sites and town of the Etruscans, Tarquinia. Then we drove through fields with purple and yellow flowers, and couldn't resist stopping for more pictures. The highlight of our tour was the lunch served at a private home which was truly a feast for all our senses. I don't want to ruin the surprise for future guests - this is part of the experience you shouldn't miss!

United StatesThis tour was the highlight of our trip. Rudolph was charming, informative & open to anything we wanted. We briefly toured Tarquenia & Tuscania, then drove along a beautiful lake to Orvieto. We visited the cathedral & strolled down some alleys. The highlight was Civita di Bagnoregio where we had a lovely lunch overlooking the hillside town. Finally, Viterbo where we visited the City Hall & had some ice cream. Ten hours later we were back at the ship. Rudolph was amazing! We were lucky to have found him

We wanted to see the Etruscan ruins and museum as well as experience the local culture and small towns and he did above and beyond what we could have expected. This was highlight of our 16 day vacation! We only wish we could have stayed and seen more of this lovely area. He was the perfect host and was fluent in English and extremely well informed about the history of the areas that we visited. The day was well planned and full. He arrived to pick us up and deposited us at our hotel at the appointed times. The big surprise was his hospitality at his home for a home cooked meal with his lovely wife. The home was in a 12Th century building with lovely gardens complete with all of the charm out of a novel.
