Daniele is a fantastic guide who really knows his way around the Villas of Tivoli! He led our family through Villa D'Este and Hadrian's Villa and had a ton of knowledge about the area and the history of the villas. I can't recommend him enough. If you're lucky to have him as a guide you'll be well taken care of on your visit to Rome and the surrounding area.

Daniele was the most AMAZING tour guide!! He was knowledgeable and so very interesting and incredibly kind. Afterwards he even guided us to a most excellent restaurant for lunch and got us a table (the octopus was fantastic!!). We enjoyed every minute of the tour. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND DANIELE!!

This experience was extraordinary. The villa Borghese is a juwel. Daniele was a passionate guide who could explain the sculptures and paintings in a way that it catches your interesset. He was a great considerate guide and I can higly recommend him as a guide and the tour.

I added the scavi tour on to our scheduled tour of the Vatican museum. I'm glad we did this tour, but our official Vatican guide who mumbled and rambled in his comments. (FYI, no matter who you book from tours by local, the only guide on this tour is the official Vatican guide). It's a tour worth doing if you have a serious interest in excavation and early Christian history.

Daniele is such a gem. He is highly knowledgeable, engaging and compassionate. We had a few pieces on our Vatican museum tour that we really wanted to see, along with another few items we wished to see — Daniele got us through with lots of colorful commentary. He is trained as an archeologist so historical context is his sweet spot.I would recommend Daniele wholeheartedly.

We really enjoyed our day walking around Trastevere with Daniele. He was easy to book with, great with communication, and we really enjoyed his pace and information on the tour. We loved the food stops we made and Daniele was super flexible in slowing down the food consumption and taking some time to tour the area and a basilica when we got "full". Definitely recommend this tour and we would book with Daniele again in the future!

Daniele provided a wonderful, deep and wide historical context for us at the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill, answering all our questions while showing his passion for the subject. (He secured for us a lunch reservation at a nearby gem of a reservation at the end of the tour. On the next day, he helped us find a tour which wasn't even his, and directed us to another wonderful Tours By Locals guide in Florence.) He's a great resource, and an excellent tour guide.

Daniele deserves 12 stars! He has mastered the skill of balancing deep knowledge of archeology and Roman history with a warm and engaging personality. His passion for his work comes out with every word he speaks. I have been to the Colosseum before with a different guide. This trip we had extra guests with us so wanted them to experience all things Colosseum. I left with a deeper knowledge and stronger appreciation for this historic site, all due to Daniele Supreme knowledge. This is the guide!!!

Daniele was very knowledgeable about the history of the Forum and Colosseum. He answered all our questions and encouraged us to ask questions. My daughter has an interest in the Greek gods and mythology and he was able very knowledgeable about this as well and patiently answered all her questions and engaged her in conversation. He made sure to check in and give us rest breaks, refill our water bottles and showed us where the restrooms were. Everything went very smoothly. Highly recommend a tour with him

Daniele gave our family an excellent, detailed and tailored tour. His knowledge of Roman times is vast and even better yet, he is willing to explain in very easy to understand ways. With so much of the ruins missing, he was able to help us recreate the ancient Roman scenes in our imagination, through both his descriptions and his photo book aides. At the end of the tour, Daniele was kind enough to show us to an authentic, small restaurant. The food was very good and inexpensive. Excellent work Daniele!

5 Stars! Daniele was the most informative tour guide that we have had for the Colosseum tour, Palantine Hill and the Forum. We have had two other guides in the past, and he was absolutely the best! Since Daniele is also an archaeologist, it really helped when it came to answering our questions. He showed us areas that we had never seen! Friendly and great personality too!
