Walked through parts of Rome we wouldn't have visited otherwise! A menu of history to go with the excellent Roman cuisine! You must sample!!!

He was knowledgeable about both the food and the history/culture of the areas we visited. The portions we enjoyed were modest and in line with having multiple stops and opportunities to eat. We were pleasantly full at the end of the tour without overindulging. Beautiful!

"rome is like lasagna" the layers of history were so interesting. we were most fascinated by the jewish ghetto, which we knew nothing about. and the food… we loved tasting the authentic local fare. it all tied into the stories cosimo told. very informative and very tasty!

United StatesThis was a really great tour. We got really interesting historical and cultural background as well as a delicious food tour. Everything was so fully explained, especially how today's food reflects the history of Rome. We went to neighborhoods that we might not have seen otherwise and he knew the history of each one, especially the Jewish Ghetto. The tour was like a progressive dinner with different dishes in each interesting place. It added so much to our understanding of Roman culture.Thanks Cosimo!

United StatesMy husband and I took the Magic of Italian Food Tour with Cosimo. This is far beyond a food tour and included Cosimo's extensive description of the various areas in Rome and the history of the people (and food) that makes Rome a special place, indeed. We had six stops, from appetizers (the Jewish artichokes are fantastic!) to after dinner drinks and finally gelato. Cosimo is charming and knowledgeable. He entertained us for almost 4 hours. Try this tour if you are in Rome. You will love it!

This tour, however, was head and shoulders above all the others and we wish we could give 6 or 7 stars! The food, in terms of quality and quantity, was exceptional as was each and every location we were taken to. Cosimo was superb company and, uniquely in our experience, knew exactly when to leave us alone to enjoy our food/drink. Absolutely superb.

I enjoyed learning about the different regions and foods of Italy, gaining first hand knowledge of Italian culture and history, exploring parts of Rome that I would never have seen but for Cosimo, and, of course, tasting the delicious culinary delights! A true feast for all the "senses"! Cosimo is an excellent and personable guide. I highly recommend him.

United StatesCosimo is amazing. If you want to eat incredible and unique food while learning a ton about Italian and Roman culture than this tour is perfect. Cosimo takes care of everything. Our family of four (including two 12 year olds) learned so much about the regional nature of food in Italy and specific historical points in Rome as we walked from restaurant to restaurant eating some of the best food we've ever had. Cosimo clearly loves what he does and we had an amazing night.

AustraliaCosimo is an excellent guide, and I would be happy to go on a tour with him again. The pickup from our hotel went smoothly, and as it was our first day in Rome I was glad not to have to organise my own transport. The catacombs were nearly empty (it was winter) so the tour was simply amazing, and Cosimo's information was important in understanding the history. The church also was an interesting stop in understanding the early Christians.

The food stops were excellent and definitely were the best of the local cuisine. They were not at all "touristy". We had slow walking members in our party and the tour was leisurely and not rushed. He was very personable and one of the best guides we have ever toured with. He is highly recommended. 5 Star Plus!!

Cosimo was a very friendly and informative guide giving us lots of information on the historical significance of the areas we went to. He showed us pictures on his iPad of what the areas would have looked like in Roman times. We would highly recommend this tour if you want to see another side of Rome apart from the main tourist attractions.

As hoped, we travelled off the beaten track and combined wonderful local cuisine with an eye-opening history tour of the layers of Rome, referred to as Romes ancient Lazagna. We, of course, ate and drank too much but enjoyed our evening thoroughly. My group agreed that we would unanimously recommend Cosimo and his food tour to anyone who asked.

United StatesA wonderful experience-when I questioned my wife what was her favorite part of our 10 day vacation in Italy she immediately said the Rome Italian food tour. Cosimo was beyond fantastic and shared the evening with us, passing on information about the food, local culture and the sites that we passed between our destinations, short walks that were welcome because of the amount of food we were eating at each of our stops. The food quality was beyond what we would expect at a first rate restaurant. Do it!!!

ItalyWe were a party of 8 first-timers in Italy—all were very impressed with his itinerary, choice of restaurants, and most importantly attention and care to all our needs. We had Six wonderful tastings that were punctuated with brief but very interesting info sessions on landmarks in Rome. We never felt rushed which was very important to us. He went above and beyond his "job" by helping us plan the rest of our day after the tour. We did four tours with this company and he was hands-down our favorite!
