Stefania is an excellent guide. She is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and detail oriented. She was our guide for 3 days and we developed a wonderful rapport. I would highly recommend her and would definitely request her iwhen we return for our next visit.

Stefania was a last minute fill in for another guide. She is quite knowledgeable on the subject matter. However, I can't in good conscience recommend her for people wanting their tour in English. Her English skills are not up to "tour guide" standards. Tours By Locals should also equip their guides with audio devices. Even though our group was only 5 folks, the crush of tourists in/around the Colosseum made it impossible to hear what the guide was attempting to share with the group.

In any case, the guides are people and sometimes they can sometimes have difficulties due to external events or the large crowd that was not detected at the beginning of the tour. Stefania made sure that she did not leave anything out. She is very knowledgeable and gave us so much information about all of the places that we visited. We were very grateful to have started our tour early as the lines had gotten long by the time that we ended. Great tour!

Unfortunately, Stefania is not proficient in English. We were not able to enjoy our tour or receive the information or details that we hoped to for on this important tour. She is probably knowledgeable, but can not communicate in English.

Stefania was an amazing tour guide. She is an Archeologist and had so much knowledge to share with us. This tour was so much more than just the Catacombs, which we all found amazing. We also went out to the Appia Antica and saw some ruins that we had not seen before. We also viewed the aqueducts that the Romans used to transport water from the mountains to the Cities. Stefania was so filled with knowledge and answered all our questions. This was a great tour.

This was an incredible tour!! Stefania was an amazing guide through the Colosseum and the Forum. We were a large party and used the radios to hear her, which worked great! I can't imagine going to these places without a guide there is just too much to see. Stefania covered all the highlights with an impressive amount of knowledge and information. We had four children with us and she did a great job keeping them engaged and making sure they were keeping up! Would definitely take another tour with Stefania!

Stefania is an incredible guide! Of course you cannot see all of Rome in one day, but Stefania captivated all of us, including two very tired teenagers, with a remarkable tour of the Vatican, St Peter's, the Coliseum, and Palatine Hill. On top of all that, she helped us have the most amazing authentic Roman pasta for lunch! Stefania's knowledge of history and her experience as an archaeologist helped us all feel that Rome's antiquity came alive for us in a day! Thank you Stefania for an unforgettable day!

We cannot say enough about the wonderful tour we had with Stefania at the Vatican. She gave us insights into the statues, paintings and history of the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica. She was friendly and outgoing. Loved our tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Forum with Stefania. She has tremendous knowledge and her enthusiasm made the stories of the ancient ruins and lives of the Romans come to life.
