This was my first trip to Rome and Barbara delivered everything on my wish list. She met me at the hotel as arranged and, in wonderful, weather, set out to experience the wonder of the city. Her knowledge was incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed our time together. I would highly recommend Barbara to anyone wishing for a personal, indepth tour with a knowledgeable guide. Barbara was the perfect guide for our family of four. As an art historian and Vatican native, she held the attention of our American boys (aged 10 and 12) throughout while navigating the huge crowds. Barbara answered all of our questions thoughtfully and took more time in the areas we loved most. Perhaps most importantly, she made us feel welcome and appreciated at the Vatican despite our agnosticism. What a wonderful experience!

My husband and I did a Rome shore excursion with Barbara. Her excellent driver sped us from the port to Rome in just an hour to meet Barbara. She was awesome and energetic! Barbara had gotten us tickets for every place we wanted to see. We saw everything in Rome in the morning, then she had set up a nice, long lunch for us. We got to see the Vatican in the afternoon. She took us through a back passage from the Sistine a chapel to the Basilica to avoid an hour line to get in! We highly recommend!!

Our guide, Barbara A, was so phenomenal that we would give her 6 Stars if we could! Barbara's knowledge, and more importantly her ability to communicate that knowledge is extraordinary. Barbara didn't lecture or "talk down" to us; instead, she gently engaged us in a discussion involving a wide range of topics including ancient history, art, architecture, etc. Naturally, she took the lead but encouraged us to ask questions and provide input. The tour she provided was literally an adventure in learning!

Barbara was great. Her driver met us at the port of Civiatechia on time. Great driver. Barbara provided with an awesome tour of the Colleseum with such knowledge of the architecture and its use before the gladiator times. She provides pictures of many periods of its use. A wealth of knowledge is sure to be found with Barbara. She recommended a great small trattoria. You will not be disappointed with her expertise of the area. Thank you Barbara we enjoyed it.

Located in the heart of Rome, the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj contains a small (when compared with the Vatican Museum) but memorable collection of works of art including works by Caravaggio and Raphael. Barbara knew the collection well and guided us through the many beautifully decorated rooms, many of which contained paintings by Vasari, Velazquez and Titian. Seeing the Raphael double portrait was a special event and when added to visiting this magnificent Palazzo made the tour special. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The Colosseum Underground Tour was amazing! Barbara was knowledgeable and friendly, and we learned so much about the history of the Colosseum. The pace was perfect, and Barbara made it an engaging experience with questions and our input. It was truly a privilege to see the lower level of the Colosseum and how spectacles were staged. I've been to the Colosseum twice- the first time without a guide- and I enjoyed it so much more with Barbara teaching us about what it all meant.

A wonderful tour with an extremely knowledgeable guide. Barbara provided us with a wealth of information on the colosseum and forum, bringing the history to life. This was an amazing day. Barbara was super knowledgeable and really fun to be with. She arranged for us to have lunch at a restaurant that was a highlight of the trip. She was very good at 'reading' our group and paced her information really well, and both sites were well worth visiting, especially with a guide who brought it to life. Barbara was an excellent guide for this fantastic tour. If you are evenly remotely interested in church history this tour is a must. These are the first Churches in Rome and their historical significance is often overlooked. Barbara was well versed in their history and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I have a limited background in church history and I found her extremely engaging. On my next trip to Rome I will probably repeat this trip again after additional study.
