United StatesFerdinando was a delightful guide! He was able to bring Caravaggio to life - pointing out the objects and places in Rome today that were in his paintings in 1600. We saw where he lived, where he painted, and where he frequently fell into mischief. So much fun!

United StatesTop notch tour! Ferdinand'o was extremely knowledgeable and shared so much great information on our tour. He has been our favorite guide of all events we have done. Thanks for a great experience!!

United StatesFerdinando was a wonderful guide! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, punctual and fluent in English. Rome's history is long and complicated but he did a great job making it understandable and interesting. His background as an archeologist provided a great perspective in a city like Rome. We were able to experience many of the important sights in Rome but also some of little known, "cool" sights that only a local could provide. GREAT!

United StatesThe favorite tour of my teenagers during our trip. A great 'out of the box' experience along the Appian Way, terrific way to experience quiet sites outside of the city. Highly recommend!

United StatesWhen you've seen the Colosseum and hit the museum highlights in Rome, I highly recommend a tour of Ostia Antica with Ferdinando. Thanks for bringing to life what the activities of daily life in an ancient city felt like! A great experience, A+

United StatesWe had a great time with Ferdinando and I'd highly recommend him for tours in Rome. He showed us around the Colosseum and Roman forum, he knows them like a second home. His knowledge base of the history and archeology is second to none, and he's able to explain it in a way that was logical to follow. You will definitely learn a lot on his tours and will not be disappointed. Highly recommended!

United StatesFerdinando's tour showed us Caravaggio the man as well as Caravaggio the legend. Ferdinando's knowledge of Caravaggio's life took us to locations in Rome to see where Caravaggio lived and worked, which gave us a deeper understanding of Caravaggio's paintings. Our tour included seeing select works of Caravaggio where Ferdinando was able to provide extra insights and commentary not derived from a typical art tour. Friendly and engaging, Ferdinando gave us a memorable morning to remember. Highly recommend.

Manor, TX, United StatesWe loved our tour of the Appian Way and Roman aqueducts with Ferdinando! This is such a peaceful, quiet part of the city (esp. on a Sunday). You can tell Ferdinando loves Rome and its history. He weaved such an interesting and captivating narrative of significant historical figures, ancient sites, and local lore. Ferdinando was also so helpful with our Rome itinerary recommending restaurants, can't miss sites, and transportation options. We appreciate his friendliness and accommodation!

United StatesFerdinando was amazing. So easy to work with via emails. My family was going to be in Rome for Spring Break. We did 5 tours with with Ferdinando over the week. Everything was so amazing. Beginning with NOT having to deal with the long lines and buying tickets. We walked right into all of our destinations. Ferdinando was incredible as a tour guide. His knowledge is world class. It is SO worth it to book Ferdinando for all our Rome tours. He has the must see Rome tours but also other amazing tours.

United StatesFerdinando is an amazing guide. Our ride along the Appian Way was my family's favorite activity during our trip to Rome. The Colosseum, Vatican and other city sights are spectacular, but getting out into the countryside gives a great perspective on ancient Roman civilization. Ferdinando supplied radios/earpieces so we could hear his commentary (and safety instructions) the whole time as we rode. When we came across an active excavation site his archaeology knowledge really shined. Deserves a 6th star.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Grazie Mille Peter for your words!

United KingdomAn utterly charming, knowledgeable, fun guide to Rome. I cannot recommend Ferdinando highly enough.

United StatesVery crowded even a 7:30PM
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks for spending your time to write a review. I take them very seriously and as a chance to improve my services. I’m glad to read though that your statement refers to the crowd which is unfortunately not under my control in the second most crowded museums in the world on a Saturday night in the high season. I also want you to know that for my standard it was absolutely reasonable because in daytime you are like sardines all the time!

United StatesFerdinando was fantastic! If we could have given him six stars out of 5 we would. You could tell he loved his subject matter and his English was the best of any Italian guide we have ever used. We have been to Rome several times but this was our first tour of the Appian Way. Calling it a tour of the Appian Way does not do the tour justice. It was more than the sites visited it was a history lesson on how a city could conquer 1/3 of the world.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much for your words Williams

United StatesThis tour with Ferdinando B. was one of the best tours we've ever taken. He provided an amazing amount of information. His depth of knowledge is profound, and his delivery was delightful. His wonderful sense of humor and excellent command of English made our experience a five-star one. As an art history major, I thought I was well versed on Caravaggio, but I came away with a plethora of new knowledge. We highly recommend this tour with Ferdinando!!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much guys..

United StatesOne of the top 2-3 guides I've ever had on any subject. His ability to whisk us through the ever-more-difficult Colosseum entrance process was worth it alone. His PhD in Archeology equips him with an unrivaled knowledge of materials, processes, and "who knew that??" interesting facts about ancient Rome, and especially its subperiods of the Colosseum's and Forum's various constructions and developments. Easygoing and friendly. I'm convinced he's one of the best guides in Rome for these things, period.

AustraliaFerdinando took us around the Forum and Colosseum. He is awesome. As an archeologist, he has worked on sites within the forum and has terrific stories to tell about what he found. His English is super fluent and he can answer pretty much any question you can throw at him. Most importantly, he pulls the different layers of Roman history together for you, connecting Roman and Pagan history to the later Christian stories and the impact of different popes and artists on the evolution of the Eternal City.
Andrew Bullock
AustraliaFerdinando is an archaeologist and for tourists a custodian of the magic of Rome. His tour of the Vatican gives you a seamless picture of the different popes and artists and their contributions to the majesty of this city. But most importantly he places this in a continuum from Roman and Greek cultures. It is awesome. When we come back we will do some trips off the beaten track with Fernando where he will be even more inspired. See our review of his tour of the Forum and Colosseu
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much Andrew for spending your time for this review. I appreciate

AustraliaA truly wonderful experience. Ferdinando has a deep knowledge of Rome. He is a highly qualified archeologist and a naturally engaging, confident communicator. This tour will stay with us for a long time as we feel that Ferdinando's explanations brought to life the remnant structures of Ancient Rome, allowing us to gain an insight into past civilisations. Highly recommended, I would do another tour with him tomorrow if I could!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much girls!! and thanks fo the hat!

IrelandThe tour with Ferdinando was excellent. His encyclopedic knowledge of Roman history plus use of the Segways allowed us to cover a lot of physical distance and historical time in a 3 hour tour. This is an excellent tour to start your stay in Rome as it allows you to sample almost all the key areas of historic interest and then decide what you want to dive into deeper with follow on visits. Using the Segways is very easy and allows you to access areas that you won't see on a bus or car. Great tour overall.

United StatesThis was the highlight of our trip. After days of walking tours, heading out of the city was a welcomed change, and Ferdinando was the perfect guide. Every step of the way, he made sure we were safe and enjoying ourselves, assuring we had the correct e-bikes, taking us to Circus Maximus to practice until we were comfortable, and then leading us safely to the Park of the Aqueducts. We appreciated that once there, he gave us time to explore on our own. We never felt rushed. Thank you for the great tour!

United StatesFerdinando was the perfect tour guide for our tour of the Vatican, and St Peters Basilica. Ferdinando was very responsive to my request for a change to the basic Vatican Night Tour, he arranged to meet us early and guided us through St Peters Basilica, also giving us time to explore individual points of interest. He was very respectful of the Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, making sure that we honored it as well. His knowledge was astounding, and we felt lucky that he was sharing it with us.

United StatesA fascinating visit to an area just outside of Rome with the excellent guide Ferdinando. He made the ruins come alive with his knowledge and descriptions. We walk slowly and never had any feeling of being rushed - just strolling along enjoying all of the history.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much for the review!!

Green Lake, WISCONSIN, United StatesWe recommend Ferdinando! We had a customized all-day tour and the day flew by. We loved every minute of it. We saw Villa Adriana where, through Ferdinando's storytelling, we could visualize all that Hadrian had created. Then on to the Villa d'Este and the Borghese gallery where his knowledge brought the sites to life for us. The sites would not have as much meaning to us without the added context from our tour. Thanks for an amazing time, we hope to see you next time we're in Rome.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much Susan for your review!

United StatesIf you're on the fence, do it. After walking around and running into crowds everywhere, it was such a relief to break away from the touristy areas on an electric bike. It was awesome to see some sights most people miss out on during their trip to Rome.
Philip Gura
United StatesFerdinando was excellent. We've been to Rome before but learned so much more about it, as well as the Coliseum, from Ferdinando. And he relayed his information in a lively interesting way. We were nine people, ages from 24 to 59 and he made the tour interesting and captivating for all. I would definitely recommend him.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much for your review Philip. Thanks for choosing me!

United StatesThis tour was just what we needed on a very hot and crowded day in Rome. Ferdinando was an excellent guide and took us to off the beaten path sites that were interesting and relevant. The use of a limo with driver was perfect. I highly recommend his services.
