But Roberto kept in touch both weeks before and even when I arrived, to guide me step by step to the meeting point. Then when the tour started, he proved to be an outstanding guide: friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to answer questions and to make sure that everything was clear. Great experience.

Our original tours to Pompeii and Herculaneum were scheduled for a Saturday, but thunder storms were expected all day. He let us move the tour to Monday - and it was beautifully sunny! We also liked that he encouraged interaction; it made us think a bit harder. You can't go wrong with Roberto!

Whilst I'm sure there are great guidebooks and audio guides... they aren't the same as having an experienced guide with in-depth knowledge. He highlighted some really interesting parts of the site. Roberto spoke fluent English, and explained things in a way that our 10 year-old understood. I'd certainly recommend him to friends visiting the area.
