He catered for everyone and ensured that we saw all the great sites and organised the best route on foot. His knowledge of history and also some tricks on avoiding the crowds made the day even better. When we had to move, his ability to park close to attractions was the gold standard. The added bonus of his charm made sure we got to see what we needed without feeling like we were in a rush.

United StatesThis was literally the perfect day trip from Rome! Mauro met me at Centro Termini and navigated the chaos beautifully! The bullet train was fast and the station in Florence is directly downtown. We made a walking loop seeing the most important sights: the duomo, The David, Santa Croce. We had time for shopping, rubbed the pigs nose and got back on the train to Rome. Mauro is great! He made the history of Florence come alive! His love for his country and its art and history is evident. 10/10!!!

Our good friend's mother had died young and her parents were born in this village. Mauro was fantastic, he knocked on doors and talked to the locals (we did not speak Italian). He did not give up and we did find what was most likely our friend's grandparents home which they left to go to America in 1910. It was a very emotional experience for our friend. Mauro was wonderful, we highly recommend him

United StatesAfter the noise and bustle of Rome, a day in Orvieto was perfect. Mauro picked us up at our hotel for the hour drive to Orvieto. After stopping to see a hill top town, we arrived in Orvieto where we saw the Duomo with its exterior Bas-reliefs featuring stories from the bible and the famous chapel frescoed by Luca Signorelli. We then had time to do some shopping. We ate lunch near the Duomo where we had the opportunity to have a wine tasting. We were then driven back to our hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

United StatesWho would have thought that the highlight of a trip to Rome would be a day trip to Venice? Mauro met us at our hotel and drove us to the station where we took the bullet train to Venice. During our time in Venice we were able to spend time at the a Murano glass factory, Palladio's San Giorgio Maggiore church, the Doge's Palace and Saint Mark's Cathedral. We even had time for lunch and shopping before taking the trip back to Rome. Mauro drove us back to our hotel from the station. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We had a minor catastrophe (only minor because of the caring and help we received) when a purse was stolen with passports, shot records charge cards phone ect. Mauro made arrangements to rectify all, while continuing to provide an exceptional in depth 2 day tour of Rome. Mauro went above and beyond to make our tour fun and interesting, with lots of insight into little known history and sites we might not have known about otherwise. He really had to think on his feet, as that very morning was the day the attractions were shut down including the Colosseum! CanadaMauro met us at the port and drove us to Rome. We were set up with a tour guide who took us through The Vatican and St. Peter's cathedral. The rest of the tour was customized for us.
